The SMS text message service we’ve been using is scheduled to sunset its service as of Monday, March 30, 2015.  This DOES NOT impact any of our other alert platforms (CapWiz, Facebook, Twitter, Email, Etc.).  We hope to be able to migrate all current subscribers to a new text messaging platform soon.  While the sunset of Signal Engage (the service we’ve been using) was completely unexpected, our use of text messaging has proven to be extremely successful.

Sending text alerts, social media messaging, targeted emails and this website ( have proven to be effective in activating our networks in a way that is unprecedented for this organization.  However, none of these technologies or platforms are successful without engaged recipients who are the backbone of our collective effort… YOU!  Alerts mean little if there is nobody to act upon them and our members have answered the call.

I’m hoping to have a new system in place very soon and hopeful that we won’t have to ask you to opt-in again.  If we do, I will use this website to send very clear instructions for how to opt-in.  We’re working with several providers and NEA to find a new texting platform for our association and we want to take the time necessary to find the most effective solution possible.  Please keep an eye on your email and to this website in the coming days for more information.
